Reminder schedule
The 90/60/30-day system that stops lapsed certs
The most common reason certifications lapse isn't negligence — it's no system. This is the schedule used by trade shops that never miss a renewal.
90 days out
Send first reminder to employee + manager. Verify renewal requirements haven't changed.
60 days out
Send second reminder. Confirm employee has registered for or scheduled renewal course/exam.
30 days out
Send urgent reminder. Escalate to ops manager if employee hasn't confirmed renewal progress.
Expiration date
Flag in compliance dashboard. Employee may not be assignable to jobs requiring this cert until renewed.
